Courses to Take

Oil/Acrylic Painting:
Enjoy a morning of painting with local artist Tricia Savoie.
This session will be concentrating on winter scenes.

Hooping:
This intro to hooping will teach you basic hooping grooves and moves,
while giving you a core blasting, waist whittling cardio workout.
This is done with larger, heavier hoops that are easy for adults to get spinning.  Gentle yoga stretches before and after will keep you limber and long.
Hoops will be provided by our hoop teacher Jenny Anderson.

Exercise Class:
This class taught by Meg Stickl is so popular that the class is given twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday mornings).  The chair exercises include stretching and toning utilizing weights and bands.

Watercolour Painting:
Kathy Harker-Fiander is now offering this class twice a week.
The Monday class is more suitable to the beginning painter and Wednesday morning to the more experienced painter.

Mat Yoga:
Becky Bowes offers this class to those able to move comfortably on the floor.  We are excited to be offering two classes this session, Monday evenings (non-members from the community are most welcome) and Wednesday afternoons.

Quilting:
Join our quilters and learn from their years of experience as they work on a variety of projects.

Line Dancing:
Enjoy an afternoon of line dancing under the direction of Sherry MacPhee.

Tai Chi:
A great fitness opportunity that focuses on balance taught by master instructor Peter Chan.  This Wu style tai chi class is offered on both Wednesday and Friday mornings.

Chair Yoga:
Becky Bowes teaches this gentle form of yoga.  It is practiced sitting on a chair with thorough basic stretches that will help flexibility, strength, balance and circulation.  Join Becky on Wednesday afternoons.
