Albert Toby

This is Albert Toby (or "Albert T.", as he is also called).  He was originally known as "Toby" and was adopted from your shelter on August 29, 2009.

Albert is a happy-go-lucky little guy, a real delight to everyone who knows him.  He wants to be friends with everyone (human and non) he meets.  Already he's the darling of the neighbourhood!  And one very special neighbour asked his mom if she would mind ("mind'!) if she took him out for a walk each day, while his mom was at work.

He has settled into his new home quite nicely.  He and his mom took puppy classes together (even though, at two, he's not really a puppy anymore--but tell him that!), which was a fun experience for both of them.  He loves his daily walks and playing with his toys.  He has quite a collection of rawhide and dentabones laid more or less in a circle out in his backyard--we all call it "Bonehenge"!  As you can see from the picture, he's now looking forward to Christmas.

Should his former family be watching this board for news of him, please be assured he is very much loved and well taken care of.  And thank you from his new mom for raising such a well-socialized and loveable little dog.

Update May ’10 …

Words can't describe the joy that Albert Toby has brought me.  He is such a good, loving little guy, and comical too.  He has thoroughly settled into his new home and is very welcoming of others into it.  He loves his walks, with both me and his special Aunt Patti, who takes him out while I'm at work.  His favourite destination is the park, and there he loves to "hang" with all of his new friends, four legged and two legged alike.  He can be pretty stubborn about staying, though, when it's time to come home!  He continues to be a favourite in the neighbourhood--everyone loves Albert and several people want one of their own!  (I keep telling them:  there's only one Albert.)

As an aside, when I adopted Albert (then known as Toby) last August, his fur was shaved down to his skin, because it had been so badly matted when he was brought into the shelter.  He was a homely-looking little fellow, but with a sweet little nature that shone through.  Look at him now!  My little ugly duckling has turned into a beautiful swan!
