We have had Benny for 5 months now, and thought it would be time for an update!

We want to thank you for your care and attention when we first came to the shelter.  We were made to feel at home, and encouraged to spend a lot of time with Benny in order to make sure it was the right dog for us.  We are so happy to have found him.

Benny is now a part of our family.  He gets along well with our two cats at home.  At first, his barking toward other dogs was a major issue.  After speaking with a trainer, we began taking him to the dog park daily to socialize him with other dogs.  The barking now is very minimal and he (we all) have made great progress.  He comes to visit my parents and plays with their dogs as well.

We cannot imagine life without Benny.  We kept his name, as you were the ones who gave it to him when you found him.  Because of the love and support you showed him, we found it best to keep the name.  We look forward to each day we spend with him.
