You
may not remember or recognize Billie (Dara when we adopted her).
It was in Jan 2009 and she was in such bad shape when you rescued her
& her siblings that she had to be shaved right down to her skin.
We
went to meet a number of dogs at your facility that day, but Billie
was the first we saw and sat with in your little room upstairs.
She was so scared. All she could do was crawl on the floor
peeing, looking for a place to hide. We couldn't leave without
adopting her.
She
was thought to be poodle/welsh terrier mix and reach approx 50 lbs.
She maxed out @ 25lbs and has medium length wiry terrier-type blackish
hair - we didn't know what type of hair to expect. She is fun, smart
and very energetic. She loves learning new tricks and gets along and
plays very well with the cat of the house, Herman.
She is the perfect dog. She is a great companion and is happiest
when outside running or hiking with us on the Gatineau trails. She
never tires out. She doesn't chew or bark. She doesn't have a
mean bone in her body and gets along great with other dogs and people.
We can take her on any activity we do. She is a lot of fun and we
love her.
Kathleen & Sean
P.S.
This is a new trick we just taught her - balancing on an exercise
ball. She makes it look easy in the picture, but it takes a lot
of concentration.
