Hello everyone, this is "Bo" checking in to let you all know how great
life is! Truly it is. My big adventure started on July 6, 2012 when
my human friends at the Iqaluit Rescue Society gave me an extra big
hug, wished me well and put me in a crate to send me flying south to
the amazing SPCA of Western Quebec. They met me at the airport and
took me back to their amazing shelter where everyone again reassured
me that they would definitely find me my forever home. Over the next
13 days they kept me in a special place and did my neuter surgery,
daily promising me that I would soon meet my forever family. I was
very hopeful!
My Mom had been waiting "for a little dog from Iqaluit" and she had
been calling in regularly, looking for me. At last my SPCA friends
could give her the good news that I was in quarantine and would be
"out" on July 19. Mom was so excited! She raced out to the SPCA
early that day and waited for the SPCA to open ... and well, I came
right out to meet her and it was love at first sight! Mom and I
didn't need any time at all to decide, we BOTH knew right away. I was
so excited to leave with Mom but they made me take a bath first and
then we were on our way.
Mom and Dad decided to change my name from "Milo" to "Bo, spirit of
the north" or just plain "Bo" for short. I am in heaven here, I
swear. My family adores me -- my Mom almost never leaves me alone and
we start every day together with a 90 minute walk out in the field
close to our house where I run like the wind and visit with all my
doggie friends. I can pretty well do anything I want in my house and
my favorite thing is to sleep in my Mom and Dad's bed, that way I can
give them my doggie kisses whenever I want.
I am so happy, my tail never stops wagging but I will NEVER forget all
the wonderful human and dog friends I made while passing first through
the Iqaluit Rescue Society and then the SPCA of Western Quebec.
Thanks to all!
