Bobby-Lou

Well, it's already been 2 weeks since my beautiful darling was adopted from
you.  My bond with Bobby-Lou (formerly Sara) is so strong and I feel that we were destined to be together.  The first night I brought her home she slept with her head pressed against my heart the entire night.  The next day I introduced her to the forest and paths near my home; she clumsily skipped along the paths and frolicked through the woods like a happy newborn deer.  A few of my friends brought their dogs to meet her and I had her playing off leash at the dog park the next day!

She loves running free and has never not run back to me when I've called her.  I was and am amazed.  She sits pretty and stays ... however my little Bobby-Lou is somewhat of a Houdini.  She likes to escape her crate when I'm at work and bring all my shoes onto my bed, lol.  To the amazement of my friends and family, no one can figure out how she escapes because the crate door is always still closed?!  I'm chalking it up as, she's a genius.

I had planned on having her sleep in a dog bed next to mine, but with that face it was impossible to not let her in my bed.  So she curls up tight and buries her head under my neck every night.  I haven't had to turn the heat on in my bedroom since this furry heater came into to my life.  She has stolen everyone's heart with her sweet disposition and  constant kisses.  However, she's a tough cookie and keeps up with all the bigger dogs and never backs down from a good wrestle.  I would never have guessed that my mild mannered pup would roll with the neighborhood tough guys.

I wanted to thank your organization for all the hard work you do.  If it were not for the charitable role you play in these animals' lives, I would never have met the love of my life.  I'm so happy that I decided to leave work early one fateful day and take a visit to see your dogs.  Bobby-Lou thanks you for the walks and love you gave her while she was in between life chapters.

For now, I just can't wait to see how big she gets? Judging by her giant bear paws I think she's going to be a beautiful big girl.  At 6 months she's currently 35 pounds and is already bigger than two weeks ago when you handed her over to me :)  Thanks again everyone and take care.

Update December '14

I adopted my girl a little over a year ago and just wanted to say thanks again for taking care of my sweet girl. Bobby-Lou is the light of my life and has brought so much joy. Keep up the great work over there.

Merry Christmas from my Santa Paws and I, all the best in the new year.
