          Bonnie has settled in rather
well and, except for a few slips indoors, she has mastered the art of
being housebroken.  She does not like going outside however, so
we unfortunately got in the habit of picking her up and taking her out
when we judged it was time to go.  She now has us well trained in
return.  When it's time to go out, she stands up for us to pick
          her up!

          As you can see from
the photo, her buddy Shamus is a much lazier dog than Bonnie is
turning out to be.  He'd rather sleep while she stands on guard.
Her never-ending curiosity keeps her sniffing and snooping
and watching everything.  Sometimes it's hard to believe she's the
"old" dog.  He'll watch her play with her toy bunny and he won't move
          a muscle.

          Michael and I are
very happy to have had the chance to bring Bonnie home...she's keeps
us laughing at her antics and her overall cuteness.

          I hope to have
other photos to share soon.  They were taken at a family birthday
party.  Bonnie met her new "cousin", another Westie who lives with my
sister.  Her name is Holly and they got along well also.  Holly
will be 11 years old this February and is a bundle of energy.
Granted, she has not had the rough life Bonnie has but Bonnie was
getting a lot of action skipping around after Holly at the party.

          We'll keep you up
to speed on Bonnie's story as it unfolds.
