I just wanted to send you an update on Cooper the boxer we got from you back in early September. Cooper is fitting in well with our family and loves to cuddle up with each of us and have a nice sleep. He loves to run and play and is always happy when he is allowed off leash to play with other dogs. He has been to the vet a couple of times to work out a few things but he is doing well and the vet thinks he is a wonderful dog and very well behaved. He is learning new commands and knows when to sit, stay and come. He knows what it means to do his business and "let's go Cooper".
He does need a little convincing and calling when he encounters some dogs and especially squirrels, so we plan to visit a trainer soon to help us with this. Every morning he wakes up and gets in our bed and goes into submissive mode so he knows his place in our pack which makes training him much better. He is very funny and does not like water and will go a mile out of his way to get around a puddle, plus when it rains he will not go outside. We just bought him a new coat because he does get the shivers on cool days. He loves to go for walks and gets 3 one hour walks each day so he is always sleeping in between. Anyway I have attached a couple photos for you to see and will send more as he grows with our family. Thank you again for trusting us with this wonderful dog. Roger
Update January ‘13 Cooper is doing fine, he has settled in well and loves his new home. No matter how our days go we always know we can come home to a lovely greeting from our little Cooper, tag wagging, actually his whole back end kind of wags:) ...... I've attached a photo!
