We adopted Cruiser in September of 2010, when he was about 18 months old.  We were told that he had lived his entire life up to that time in a kennel and that he had very low self-esteem.  The first couple of months were very difficult - house training didn’t seem to work, he chewed
inappropriately and would pull his leash on walks.  Since then with lots
of patience, he has become the perfect dog for his family.  He returns our
patience with our in-laws' hyper little dogs and with our baby.  He doesn’t
bark or bay, he and the cat stay out of each other’s way, and he let India
be the boss of the house.  He loves to run like a crazy dog off-leash at
our cottage, but stays close to home.

We’re looking forward to several more years with our loyal companion.
