It
has been two months today that I adopted Elli and I could not be
happier with my cuddle bug. There were some challenges at first, but
she is a quick learner and she is beginning to trust that I will
always come back for her. She is a very social dog and has made
several dog friends
in the neighbourhood that she has regular play sessions with.
She
also adores my boyfriend and goes to him whenever she wants to play in
the house. Whenever Elli sees my boyfriend`s daughter she rolls right
into the belly rub position for petting time. Elli is in week 4 of
obedience
school and she is doing quite well. I have also signed her up for one
day of doggy day care a week for when I go back to work in September.
It has definitely been beneficial for bonding to have had the summer
off with
her.
She
is spoiled rotten, has beds and blankies on all levels of my house,
and toys galore (the ones she doesn't eat!!!!) She also gets lots of
walks and park playtime to burn off all that energy, and enjoys car
rides and the groomers. Of course, the first week when she was
scared, I let her sleep in bed with me, so this has become our regular
routine. She now weighs a little over 19 pounds and everyone comments
on her shiny coat and of course her ears! Thank you for taking in my
fur baby so that I could find her. I already can not imagine my life
without her.
