Hello, I believe you chatted with my husband today about Freddie (previously Diesel). We are very happy with him, and believe he’s happy with us. Sometimes he appears to be sad, and he doesn’t ever wag his tail. I guess an adjustment period is to be expected. He’s great with the cats. After getting his nose scratched twice the evening we brought him home, he doesn’t bother them at all. They do come into frequent contact and we don’t doubt that soon they’ll be snuggling up together. We visited friends Easter Friday and they have a young golden doodle. They romped their hearts out. It was really nice to see him running full tilt through a field. You could tell he was delirious with joy. He’s been getting nice long walks on a lovely trail not far from us. It’s an old rail bed and he can be off leash. The back part of our garden has a large grassy area phasing into a flat wooded area before a deep drop-off. Lots of great things to smell. We’ll keep you posted about his progress.

We actually found a ball that he is able to pick up with his front
teeth.
