Gus
has been with us for about three weeks now, and we couldn't be
happier. We loved him the minute we set eyes on him in Aylmer with his
skinny little frame, curious eyes and expressive eyebrows. We're happy
to report that he's slowly putting on weight and is looking great! His
energy levels have gone WAY up and he now trots along happily on walks
where before he would slowly trudge along like he was walking through
molasses. He's getting along well with our other pug Bo - we think
they'll be good friends in no time. Our two cats, who were hesitant at
first, are now happy to share the couch with him, though playing
(Gus's idea) is still a no-go.
Gus is now the quintessential pug; he loves to eat (we have videos of
him whipping around in circles in what seems to be pure glee right
before he gets his breakfast), he loves to snuggle (he especially
loves shoving his head into armpits) and he loves to play. What more
could we ask for?
Thanks to the wonderful staff at the SPCA in Aylmer who took such good
care of our little Gus; we'll be forever thankful that you brought him
into our lives.
Sincerely,
Marie-Anne, Sheldon, Bo, Skeeter, Chickpea and of course, Gus
