We adopted Holden (we changed his name from Murray) in September 2009. He was a 1 ½ year old border collie/duck toller mix. He was a difficult case and had been adopted and brought back because he was a "devil dog". He also had escaped from the pen at the SPCA.
Ours was not an easy adoption. Holden needed a lot of training and attention but we were very committed. We enlisted the help of a professional trainer and we worked very hard.
We are happy to report that Holden is happy and healthy. He enjoys daily walks, playing with his family and four-legged friends, swimming and nothing makes him happier than chasing a thrown ball.
He is
incredibly smart, has a large repertoire of tricks and responds to
commands in both French and English. He is truly loved.
