Holly

I just wanted to give you an update on our little Holly (previously known as Lulu).  We brought her to the vet for a check up on December 13.  Her incision looked red to me.  The vet confirmed that it was a little infected so Holly was prescribed some antibiotics.

We started her on Royal Canin puppy food ... she LOVES it!  We see the vet again on Dec. 27th to have the stitches removed and for her rabies shot.  She sure was a big hit at the Carling Animal Hospital ... everyone was asking what mix she was.  Holly was quick to approach the other dogs there, no matter that they were 10 times her size.

Our little girl is growing.  She's doing so well with her training.  She has several new toys (although she loves playing with an empty pop bottle), a new coat, new dishes and loves her spacious crate.  She exhibited a lot of biting but she's realizing that that hurts and does it much less now.  She's brought us so much happiness!  I've brought her to the daycare centre where I work and the children and parents love her too!

Here are a few pictures that were taken over the weekend.  You'll notice that she had tipped her water dish over and the carpet was still wet when the pics were taken ... not due to a "pee" accident.  Holly really likes playing on the bed at night before bedtime.

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and all the best in 2014!

Update April '14

I just wanted to give you an update on our little Holly (known as Lulu when we adopted her in December 2013).  She is doing so well!  We just came back from our first trip together.  We went to Terrace Bay.  She did really well in the car and met several other dogs (cousins) on the trip.

She enjoys going to get groomed.  She's a big hit at the Carling Animal Hospital.  Holly's a good eater and listens pretty well (still a puppy).  We love her to bits!!  I've attached a recent picture of her.

Take care and thank you for the work you do with the animals at the shelter!
