This is me relaxing and taking a nap in my new home. I'm
thinking I'm looking pretty comfortable. When I met my new
brother I gave him a few humps just so he knows that I'm here to stay.
I think he's getting in touch with his feminine side.
They tried to feed me dog food but I set them straight. Now I get
cooked beef and rice. Somehow though, I think they're sneaking
in more and more dog food. Oh well, it was great while it
lasted.
I met Amanda, my new vet, and she thinks I'm gorgeous. Right on.
Did I mention that my brother, Winston, and I go for these great walks
through the woods and along the beach? Wow. Life is good.
Well, I must run - walk time again. I miss you all and send a
big slobbery kiss.
Your Hugo
Update
February '14
Sorry for such a long delay in sending some info on our precious Hugo.
It has been an adventure. When he first arrived he humped our nine
year old male Bernese only once to announce his arrival. Winston
is now in touch with his feminine side. The dogs get along fine
as Winston is not an alpha male.
Hugo has turned out to be a gentle, loving bear of a dog who loves
women and adores Bob and Derek, the man who keeps the boys when we
travel. We took him for a one-hour training session because he
sprained Bob's finger pulling the leash. Now he walks quietly by
our side even off leash.
Hugo is so adorable. He purrs when we pat him good night.
I've never heard a dog purr before.
Both our vet and the trainer have said he's a wonderful, smart dog.
Lucky us. Thank you for having him. Our bear has probably
put on some 10 to 15 pounds.
