I'm
sending along some photos of Raffy and Aniken (now named Jack), whom
we adopted in November 2010. I know Raffy was well loved by all
of you, and will be missed. You will be happy to know both Raffy and
Jack have settled in rather quickly, and are getting along quite
nicely!
Raffy
is the perfect fit for our family; cuddly, relaxed, and playful with
the right toys. He is a lot like our old cat, whom we lost to cancer
in the summer. He does get annoyed with Jack, but has found a hiding
spot in the bathroom sink! Raffy does seem to like Jack, though;
they chase and wrestle with one another, and Raffy is gentle with him,
despite his large stature.
They
like to push each other out of a certain chair they like to sleep in -
each has won his fair share! They have even shared the chair when
each has been too stubborn to give it up!
Jack
is a nice combination of playful and cuddly, with a very loud purr,
although we have been kept up at night when he's ready to play! He
likes to suck on our earlobes, and even on Raffy's toes (which he
allowed for a couple of minutes, then got annoyed); I gather it
reminds him of his mom and brings comfort.
Our
cat, Moe, has adjusted well to both. He was already sniffing Raffy
the second day! Moe has started to express interest in what Jack is
doing, and even started to play with him. Moe and Raffy will
occasionally chase each other, but now that Jack is here, all eyes are
on the crazy kitten!
We've
even found all three sharing our bed ... a safe distance from one
another - when there is a whole house they could be in! All three
seem to never be too far from one another, which we will take as a
sign they are happy to be brothers!
Thank you!
