Josy, Nike & Jena

Josy (formerly Beverley), the chocolate Lab, is doing great.  She gained 10-15 lbs since we got her in late summer and has acclimatized wonderfully to her new home.  She had a very big operation back in October to remove excess skin irritating her eyes, and (for two weeks!!) had to wear an awfully large cone to protect them but has recovered beautifully.  She is known as the barker of the pack - which is saying a lot in our house!

Nike (Ellie), the Lab/Pitbull, is still growing.  We adopted her back in February and she has found her way into our hearts rather quickly.  She starts at every little noise but you can tell she knows she's home here.  She and Josy play together all the time; play-fighting, tug-of-war, running
around in the backyard like there was no tomorrow ... you name it.

Jena, our gorgeous Greyhound/German Shepherd, has been with us since July 2006.  When we adopted her she was 55 lbs but now walks around with 73 lbs.  Healthy and well-loved, she is the protector of the house.  She lost her
best friend (Athena, our Golden Retriever) a few days after we got Nike and took a long time to get over it (as did we) but Nike and Josy give her plenty of attention and keep her company.  Nike especially loves her, she keeps wanting to be next to her and annoys (or loves) her to death.

This is our family and we thank you for helping us find them.

Update April '15

Jena, our beautiful German Shepherd mix, was adopted on 23rd of July, 2006. She left us last Friday, April 10, 2015, a few months shy of her 11th birthday. While with us she had a big sister (since deceased) and three little sisters (all from SPCA of WQ). She was the very vocal protector of our house and greeted us with a bark or two whenever we arrived home. She was loved and, in her last months, was kept comfortable and happy. She will be greatly missed.

Thank you for keeping her safe until we found her.
