Lillye has now been with us for a week and four days. She is settling
in very well and we love her. She is energetic at times but enjoys
her walks.
She does exhibit a lot of aggression when she meets another dog,
particularly a bigger dog. Do you have suggestions as to why and how
we should respond to this? I want her to bark to alert but not
prolonged barking when she sees a dog in another yard.
Update
May '15
Lillye came into our lives (and hearts) Thursday April 16, 2015. We
had driven to
Aylmer on spec that day just to perhaps
get acquainted with a wee dog we selected from a picture on your
website. During our brief walkabout on the SPCA's front lawn, she won
us over with her energy, her lovely fun disposition, and her winning
personality.
She came home with us that afternoon and since then she has brought us
great joy, much laughter with her antics and joie de vie. She is
affectionate, loves to eat and play, can be rambunctious at times and
just loves to go on car rides.
We sometimes wonder how we functioned so well before Lillye came along
to enrich our lives.
Update October '15
Here
is a picture of sun loving Lillye. She just loves the sun. She is
still aggressive but we are managing better.
