Luna

Thanks to everyone at the SPCA in Western Quebec for taking such good care of me until my forever family came to get me on December 16, 2008!

It was quite stressful leaving everyone who had been so wonderful to me, but my family is trying hard to make the transition as easy as possible.

As you can see from one of my pictures, the first full day in my new home was when I really noticed the couch - ummmm, comfy!

And I've already got some favourite toys - that's me with lamby and duck in the picture!  I've gone through 3 tennis balls already and am eager for more.

I've made my feelings about the car quite clear and I go for rides whenever my family can take me - I've seen quite a lot of the city so far and it's only the 19th!

All in all, life seems pretty good right now - we all
get along and everyone seems to be adjusting well; we deal with any problems (so far, very few) right away.

I've had my ears scratched, head kissed, belly rubbed, sniffed new sniffs, met new people (and other pups!) and gone for walks on many of the bike trails around my house.

You can expect to hear from me again, especially when my new family members get quicker with their cameras!

Update July '09 ...

Hi everyone at the SPCA in Aylmer!

Summer is here and life is easy.  My favourite toy is my squeaky tennis ball (or rather a series of them as they don't seem to last very long)!

I've included a few shots so that you can see that I am doing well.

I've filled out a bit, but am very healthy and happy.  People in the neighbourhood all know me and say what a great girl I am.  I just have to calm down when I see a cat - boy, cats really get me barking ...

My favourite doggie friend is named Bogart - he's a Boston terrier - we have some 5AM fun running around and chasing my ball.  Hey, I even give him the ball on occasion just to try to watch him run with it in his mouth - too funny!

I just graduated from my first harness - it was too easy to get out of - now I have one that even Houdini would have a hard time escaping.

I hope that everyone is doing well; my family and I are bonding well and getting along famously!

Wags and licks,

Luna K.
