Just wanted to report that Rudy is loving his new home with us! We've changed his name slightly to Reuben, which he is taking to very well. When he first came home, he was just recovering from having some teeth pulled and was likely a little nervous, so he wasn't very interested in his food. Since then, he is back in a normal, healthy eat/sleep/poop schedule and has put on a little weight (which is good because he was a little skinny at first). He is absolutely in love with my husband, who is home with him during the days while I'm at work, and is already learning the routine of the house and some basic commands. He is such a sweet and trusting and calm dog, he really has fit into our family seamlessly. All he wants to do is cuddle up with us and play with his many new toys.
Over the last week, we've also had the opportunity to socialize with
friends who have a little dog and a

big
dog of their own, and Reuben loved running around the yard and playing
with them. He also loves hopping in the car with us when we're out and
about.
