Just wanted to drop a note to let you know how Sonny (Jack) is doing.  It's been a month and a half since we adopted him and we are discovering just how amazing he is ... except for his wandering spirit!  He is very gentle and loving and picking up his training very well.  He has managed to escape 3 times, not his fault though, but fortunately we have been able to get him back!

We have our main residence in Ottawa although we will be retiring
soon.  Our retirement home is in Rideau Ferry and we also have a trailer
in a park on Bennett Lake just outside of Perth.  Sonny enjoyed his trip
to the house last weekend ... who knew he would enjoy pulling fallen trees
across the yard!  He quickly made friends with some local dogs although I'm
not sure what he will think of the cat next door.  So far they have only
seen each other through the window ... hmmmm! 

We will take him up to the trailer in the spring and hopefully he will have learned to stay with us so that he can be off the leash.  I'm sure he will enjoy swimming and
boating and all the exciting smells associated with the bush.

So thanks for helping us to have Sonny in our lives and keep up the good work at the shelter.
