This is Sharon sending you an update on Tommy.  He is doing great.  He is such a wonderful dog.  He loves being with Stephanie and I and we love being with him.  He fits right in and has made himself
at home in our house.  There aren't enough words for me to express how impressed we are with him.  He has made friends with two little dogs that are our neighbours and enjoys playing with them.  He did extremely well during the long car ride home from Canada.  Once he discovered the front seat, he would lay in Stephanie's lap, peek up a couple of times to see where we were and lay back down, no whining at all.

He received a clean bill of health from the vet and is currently at the groomers.  Stephanie said he was shy with the groomer, as we expected.  He has been shy with everyone he has met which we expected but also tells us he is content with Stephanie and I.

Update June '09 ... 

Hello to everyone at the shelter.

Attached is a current picture of Tommy fresh from the groomer.  He is standing proud and handsome.  He sure is a joy to have in our home.  He's full of spunk and has a great personality.  He has adapted well to his new surroundings and seems very happy and content.  He has claimed my couch and enjoys sitting on top of the back cushions.  He also enjoys burying his chews toys between the cushions.  He's so funny.

Anyway, thank you all for your help and the work you provide to all the animals.  We truly enjoy having Tommy in our home.
 

Update June ’10 …

Thank you for checking in on Tommy, it’s so kind of you to check on his well-being.  We are preparing to celebrate his 1-year anniversary of joining our family and his 2-year birthday the end of June.  I can’t believe it has been a year since my daughter, Stephanie, and I made the long trek to Canada to adopt Tommy.  He was worth every mile. 

Tommy has been such a pleasure to have in our home.  I am so thankful, as is my daughter, that we found each other.  It was meant to be.  He has made our life so enjoyable and happy.  He is a lovable, huggable, and cuddly dog.  He loves to cuddle with my daughter.  He follows her everywhere. 

There’s not a day that goes by that he doesn’t make me laugh and smile.  He is so cute.  He has quite the personality and is so fun to be with.  He loves to sit outside and listen to all the sounds around him.  It’s fun to watch him listening to the sounds.  He enjoys playing with the dogs in the neighbourhood.  He still has some puppy in him.  I just can’t say enough good things about Tommy.

We love him so much.  I tell Tommy everyday I am so thankful for finding him.  Thank you so much for all your help and blessing us with Tommy.
