Although it's only been less then a week
since we brought our sweet Tucker home, I couldn't wait to send you an
update. He has been nothing short of amazing and we can't
believe that he hasn't been with us all his life. From the
moment we brought him into our home, all he really wants is to be part
of our family. He has the most loving character and temperament.
On our first night, he had 2 accidents in
the home, but it was just after we had brought him in and we figured
it was probably the new surroundings and the operation. We just
brought him outdoors and praised him so much when he went in the yard
and on his walks and there has been nothing ever since. He
doesn't show any food aggression whatsoever. We have taken his
food away as well as his toys and bones right out of his mouth and he
gladly gives them up.
He has a warm bed and lots of toys, lots
of love as well as walks and exercise. He is so smart too.
He is already recognizing his new name Tucker, can sit, stay at the
door before heading out for his walks, just really loves to learn.
He is staying true to his retriever roots and we are having such a
great time teaching him.
Our family is so blessed that Tucker is in our lives and our home.
We waited to introduce a new dog into our lives for a reason because
we were waiting for Tucker. He's beautiful and loving and such a
wonderful boy. You can see for yourself, as we have attached a
couple of pics. Thank you for doing what you do. We are
huge advocates of rescuing these wonderful animals.
Sincerely,
Steve, Noreen, Amy, Riley, Olivia, Emelie
and of course, our Tucker :-)
