As a community based non-profit group of volunteers we believe we can play an important part in making our world a better and more peaceful place for ourselves and our children.

Current Project:

NOW’s grass roots, hands-on approach is fundamental to their successful projects in Sierra Leone. There is still much to be done and a number of projects NOW would like to move forward.

When completed, the Learning Resource Centre will provide the children with:

• A facility dedicated to self-learning
• Books and teaching materials
• Computers, software and other technology aids

Access to computers and the internet will permit the children to expand their education, develop computer skills and take advantage of internet technologies that link them to volunteer educators in Canada.

The Learning Resource Centre is a vital step towards sustainability for the children of Sierra Leone. The skills they develop at St. Mary’s will permit them to flourish and become citizens of the global village.

This important project received a significant kick start in February 2007. NOW received an exceptional contribution of $20,000 from one caring Canadian.

On Saturday, November 29th from 7:00pm - 12:00 NOW will hold a fundraising auction to support St. Mary's Children's Home, the LRC and future NOW projects. Tickets for this event are $20. Our host for the evening is Stunt Man Stu from Sports Radio Team 1200. Click here for more details.
