Thank you for your interest in becoming a Fringe Volunteer!
Volunteers are the backbone of the Festival – they make the Fringe possible! Every year the Fringe Festival provides an unjuried and supportive environment for artists to perform and display their art.  Without the help of energetic and dedicated volunteers, this would not be possible.

Volunteering with the Fringe is a fun, rewarding experience and a great way to meet people and gain valuable experience.

When you volunteer with the Fringe, you get:
 An official Ottawa Fringe Festival volunteer t-shirt – not sold to the general public; it is a gift from us to our amazing volunteers.
 One voucher redeemable for admission to a Fringe performance of your choice for each shift you work before or during the festival.
 Training at pre-festival workshops applicable to your volunteering interests (as many as interest, necessity and funding will allow).
 An invitation to our legendary and exclusive VAP (Volunteer Appreciation Party), usually scheduled for the week following the Festival.
 An official letter of recognition and thanks for the valuable time that you chose to spend with us.

What we ask of you:
 That you complete a volunteer registration form and volunteer contract.
 A commitment of at least two volunteer shifts before, during or after the 10-day run of the Festival (shifts generally last between four and five hours).
 That you wear your official Ottawa Fringe Festival Volunteer t-shirt only while on duty during the 10 days of the Festival (and as often as you like     afterward).
 That you attend the volunteer training session – two different sessions are available for greater flexibility and convenience.
 That you bring your ideas and never hesitate to offer feedback – these enable us to grow and improve every year!
