(Monday, April 23, 2018) Clarence-Rockland just got a new taxi service.
Rockland Taxi is now open for business!
The fleet has three different types of vehicles to meet the needs of our community," says
co-owner Laurie Marion, who is also one of the operators. "They include a car, an SUV and a van."
"It is a true home-grown, local, safe and reliable transportation service," she says,
"and the service is unique in that it has three female operators. The team includes, myself, Julie, Chris,
and one male driver, Dan."
The Team: Dan, Chris, Laurie, co-owner Brad, Julie

Community oriented:
Laurie says she has the years, skills and experience as a taxi driver in this community and most of all she has
been an active community member her entire life.
Rockland Taxi is the only service in the Clarence-Rockland and surrounding areas that has female
drivers. The drivers are members of the community, the maintenance of all vehicles is with Serge Auto Clinic and
the insurance is with Laurent Belanger Insurance... truly supporting local businesses.
"We provide services to the airport, train station and bus station," says Laurie. "We
have booster seats in all vehicles to drive children (to schools). We provide services to CHEO, the Ottawa Hospital
(Civic, Riverside and Smyth Road campuses) as well as to the Montford Hospital. We are able to meet the needs of
the community by providing professional services and we value all of our clients.
Rockland Taxi is open 24/7 and has an easy-to-remember Rockland phone number: 613-446-4466. Check out their Facebook page for their latest news and events.
