Camp FFIT: Firefighter training camp for young women
Camp FFIT is designed to educate young women about the career of fire fighting. All participants will have an opportunity
to speak to men and women of the Career and Volunteer Ottawa Fire
Services, as well as firefighters from neighbouring communities and
students who have recently graduated from a Pre-Service Firefighter
Education and Training Program.
Participants will also have an opportunity to perform many tasks.

Renfrew native and NHL Hall of Famer Ted Lindsay remembered as a force on and off the ice
Ted Lindsay was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who
played as a forward for the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Black Hawks of
the National Hockey League. Lindsay scored over 800 points in his
Hockey Hall of Fame career, won the Art Ross Trophy in 1950, and won the
Stanley Cup four times.
The hard-nosed star winger who formed Detroit's famed Production Line with Gordie Howe and Sid Abel, has died. He was 93.

Rockland lawyer Stéphane Langlois:
Suspended over alleged misuse of clients' millions Rockland,
Ont., lawyer StéphaneLanglois has been temporarily suspended from
practising law as part of the ongoing investigation into his alleged
mishandling of his clients' money.
Langlois's own law firm reported him to the Law Society of Upper Canada
last week after colleagues became concerned over the whereabouts of
approximately $4 million held in trust for his clients, according to
the motion asking for his suspension.
